Chinle Pen Pals Project

The Chinle Elementary/La Vida Llena Pen Pal Program expanded to a magical adventure for both the 5th and 6th grade class and the residents. After meeting by mail, we traveled to Chinle Arizona and were hosted by the Navajo children, their teachers and families. They took us on a tour of Canyon de Chelly and invited us into their classroom. The following spring, the students visited La Vida Llena for 3 days. The residents hosted this tour by taking the kids to the Zoo and Bio Park. They also dined (and played) at "Chuck E. Cheese".

The relationships formed will be long remembered and cherished.
