The eclipse came to La Vida Llena! From resident Lanie D: When, in spite of overcast skies, I detected evidence of sunshine on our balcony at 11:15 am MDT, I went out on the balcony with my eclipse glasses and saw a small chunk eaten out of the Sun already. We grabbed our Edmund Scientific Telescope, a folding table, and a box of eclipse glasses and set up shop in front of the entrance to the new Medical Services building of La Vida Llena where we had viewed the annular solar eclipse in October. Then as John manned the telescope, I went to the Assisted Living and the Main Sandia Dining Rooms and alerted those eating and the staff about our eclipse set up. We had quite a few residents, staff, and 2 passers-by (on the sidewalk outside the fence) come view the partial eclipse. Everyone was quite excited.Image attachmentImage attachment+5Image attachment
